CMLL: A Lucha Libre Promotion based in Mexico City, Mexico. The CMLL Promotion was founded in 1933 by Salvador Lutherroth. The Promotion is currently the World’s  oldest Wrestling Promotion in the World, and the most popular Promotion in Mexico.

Triple A: A Lucha Libre Promotion based in Mexico. The Triple A Promotion was founded in 1992 by Antonio Pena Herrada and it is the second largest Lucha Libre Promotion in Mexico.

IWRG: An Independent Lucha Libre Promotion based in Naucalpan, Mexico. The Promotion was founded in 1996 Adolfo Moreno.

DTU: An Independent Lucha Libre Promotion founded by Crazy Boy. The Promotion houses young Lucha Libre Talent, and it focuses on the Hardcore style of Lucha Libre.

Producciones Perros del Mal: An Independent Lucha Libre Promotion based in Mexico City, Mexico that was founded by Perro Aguayo Jr. in 2008 after leaving the CMLL Promotion.

100% Lucha: A Lucha Libre Promotion based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Promotion was founded in 2006 by the Telefe Network with the help of T.V distributor, Endemol.

Luchador: Spanish term for a Male Wrestler.

Luchadora: Spanish term for a Female Wrestler.

Mini Luchador: Spanish term for a Midget Wrestler.

Luchador Exotico: A Transvestite Luchador.

Tecnico: A Luchador that works as a Babyface.

Rudo: A Luchador that works as a Heel.

Second: A Manager or a Luchador at Ringside.

Lucha Mano-a-Mano/Lucha de Relampago: Two terms used to describe a Singles Match between two Luchadores.

Lucha de Parejas: A term used to describe a Tag Team Match between two Teams of four Luchadores.

Lucha de Relevos Australianos: A Trios Match between two Teams of six Luchadores.

Relevos Atomicos: An eight-man Tag Match between two Teams of four Luchadores.

Relevos Atomicos de Locura: A term used to describe a Match that’s commonly seen in the Triple A Promotion. A Relevos Atomicos Match usually has one Luchador, a Luchadora, an Exotico Luchador, and a Mini Luchador.

Lucha Callejera: A Lucha Libre Match that’s contested under Street Fight rules.

Lucha Extrema: A Hardcore Lucha Libre Match.

Lucha en Jaula: A Lucha Libre Cage Match.

Lucha en Oscuridad: A Match that’s contested with glow in the dark effects. This Match was created by the Triple A Promotion in the early-2000′s.

Lucha de Apuestas: A Match that has a Mask or Hair on the line.

Edecan: A Ring Girl that accompanies Luchadores on their way to the Ring.

Cuadrilatero: A Wrestling Ring.

Exadrilatero: A Hexagon Ring. The Hexagon Ring has been notably used by tje Triple A Promotion.
